Chopta is well-connected by road from major cities in Uttarakhand, such as Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Dehradun. The nearest railway station is Rishikesh, and the nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun.

After Reaching one of the Cities one can take a bus or Shared cab from there to Ukhimath a small town in Rudraprayag Distt of Uttarakhand. From their one can take Shared Cab to Chopta.

Its is recommended to travel during day time as in hilly areas it is difficult to get transport during night time.
